IRKUTSK REGION – A team of four representatives from the Irkutsk association of the Russian Church of Christians of Evangelical Faith (Pentecostals) visited the town of Bodaybo. The visit took place at the invitation of Pastor Andrey Primak of the On The Rock Pentecostal church, who has been serving in the city for more than 20 years.
Over the course of two days, the evangelism team went out into the streets to share the Word of God with residents. They personally distributed more than 400 copies of the New Testament and 450 booklets. The team spoke to people about Jesus Christ, prayed for their needs, and invited them to attend church.
The outreach was organized in short sessions lasting several hours each day. According to the participants, this time was especially meaningful.
“We went out for ministry over two days, for about three to four hours each day. People responded very positively. We encountered kind and open hearts: with some we were able simply to talk, with others we prayed. Many responded, saying, ‘I will come,’” shared Shukhrat Yakubov, the leader of the evangelism team, which has been actively engaged in outreach since August of last year.
The seed has been sown — and that is what matters most.
The mission trip was organized by the Centralized Religious Organization “Church of Christians of Evangelical Faith (Pentecostals) of the Irkutsk Region” with the blessing of Bishop Oleg Demin.
