“The Church is being tested for true Christianity”: the Harvest Conference was held in Barnaul

In Russia

BARNAUL – At the Altai regional conference of the Russian Church of Christians of Evangelical Faith, participants shared their experiences of evangelism and were inspired to action.

“We are being tested for true Christianity,” said Eduard Grabovenko, Head Bishop of the Russian Church of Christians of Evangelical Faith. He was the main speaker at the Harvest Conference, which took place on October 17 and 18 in Barnaul.

The event brought together about 500 ministers and believers from various churches in Altai. The conference was dedicated to the Year of Evangelism and became a place of spiritual renewal and inspiration for all who carry the Gospel to people.

In his message, Bishop Grabovenko spoke frankly and with pastoral care, combining rebuke and inspiration: “The church today is so preoccupied with itself that it forgets about the perishing world. But it is precisely in this context that we face a new challenge — militant atheists have been replaced by haters and fakes. And if we respond to this correctly, we will see that even they can fertilize the soil and make us more fruitful for the Kingdom of God.”

A distinctive feature of the conference was the lively participation of the believers themselves: at each service, testimonies of personal and joint evangelism were heard. Participants shared how they conduct evangelistic meetings, visit families, and help those in need.

Feedback from participants confirms that the meeting was not just an event, but a spiritual turning point:
“The message was profound, specific, and effective,” Nina noted.
“I received a clear prompting to take practical steps in my life,” Natalia shared.
“We usually wait for the Lord to start acting. But the Lord is waiting for us to start acting. This was a key revelation for me,” said Sergey.

The Harvest Conference ended with a prayer for the pastors and ministers of the churches in the Altai region — that they may be witnesses of God's love in unity and dedication in the places where they serve.
