TIKHVIN – From June 30 to July 5, the IV Christian Youth Forum was held in Tikhvin. It aims to unite young people from different denominations. This year's theme was “The Historical and Spiritual Heritage of Generations.” It is held annually under the auspices of the Christian Interdenominational Advisory Committee.
Semyon Nikolaev, deputy bishop of the North-West Association of the Russian Church of Christians of Evangelical Faith who is responsible for spiritual and social support of families in the North-West Federal District, delivered a welcoming speech on behalf of the Head Bishop of the Russian Church at the forum's opening ceremony. In his welcoming letter, Head Bishop Eduard Grabovenko said, "We thank God for this important annual event, which brings together young people from different denominations and traditions. This year, the youth forum presents a unique opportunity to explore the historical and spiritual heritage that has been passed down from generation to generation, to share experiences, to learn from each other, and to find common paths to service and development.
It is important to remember that we are united by one faith and a desire for truth. Use this time to learn to understand each other better and build relationships that will help you move forward together and be a light to this world.”
Representatives of the youth of the Russian Church of Christians of Evangelical Faith took part in the event. Over the course of six days, forum participants attended seminars, evangelical talks, discussions on the theme of the event, and learned about Christian denominations.
The Christian Interdenominational Advisory Committee was established in 1993 and is one of the largest inter-Christian platforms in Eurasia. The Committee's goal is to coordinate joint activities of Christian denominations in matters of peacemaking, traditional Christian morality and ethics, ensuring harmony and stability in society, interfaith interaction, and defending the rights of Christians.
