ROSTOV-ON-DON (RUSSIA) – On June 21, the international street football tournament “Straßenfußball Rostow-2018” kicked off in Rostov-on-Don.

The youth of the Christ the Savior Church organized a team called “StormCSC”. There were participants from Russia, Armenia, Palestine, Ghana. 10 teams from Germany participated in the tournament. Total, 29 teams were declared.

The parishioners of the church took part in the organizational and creative part of the tournament as volunteers.

“Our team did not take the first prize, but our goal was not to win,” — says the team leader, a minister of the Christ the Savior Church Hasan Kuzakhmetov. “While engaged in street evangelism, I made friends with the guys who played football. Since I also played football, we began to play regularly. However, I did not have a single match, when I just left and did not tell anyone about Christ. Then I decided to organize a team and take part in this tournament. We had a good time, made new acquaintances and, most importantly, preached the gospel.”

Khasan Kuzakhmetov will tell more about his experience of street evangelism and participation in the League of Christ Movement at the Christian youth conference PASSWORD in August 2018 in the Crimea.
