KRASNOYARSK – “There is no greater honor in life than to serve God,” said Bishop Andrei Panasovets, emphasizing the theme of the regional conference “In the Beginning Was the Word,” held on December 4 and 5 in Krasnoyarsk.
Over the course of two days, more than 600 participants from churches in the Krasnoyarsk region reflected on what it means to live according to God's Word, trust God, and remain faithful in serving Him.
The main speakers were Bishops of the Russian Church of Christians of Evangelical Faith Pentecostals Andrei Panasovets, Svyatoslav Purshaga, and Maxim Usachev.
Bishop Andrei Panasovets emphasized that faithfulness in ministry always bears fruit: “True faith is when I read the Word and understand what I need to do, where to go, and what the Lord wants from me.”
Bishop Maxim Usachev spoke about reverence for God and the depth of personal relationships with Him: “Ministry without God is complete burnout and emptiness.”
One of the main events of the conference was the ordination of new ministers: eight deacons and one presbyter from churches in Krasnoyarsk, Divnogorsk, Uyar, Uzhur, Taseevo, Irbeyskoye, Reshoty, and Filimonovo. Conference participants prayed for them, releasing God's blessing for their ministry.
In the concluding part, Bishop Svyatoslav Purshaga reminded participants that ministry is a calling for every believer: “God does not have young or old, but there are people who are ready. There is blessing from the Lord in ministry.”
The conference ended with a prayer for Pastor Viktor Motskovsky from Divnogorsk: by decision of the Council of Bishops of the Russian Church of Christians of Evangelical Faith, he has been entrusted with overseeing the evangelistic ministry throughout the Siberian Federal District.
