Attorney Inna Zagrebina held an interdenominational juristic seminar in Rostov-on-Don

ROSTOV-ON-DON – “Church and law: contemporary issues and ways of solution” seminar took place on May, 13 in the Christ the Savior Church of Rostov-on-Don.

The seminar was held by Inna Zagrebina, an attorney, chairlady of board of directors of guild of experts in religion and law, editor in chief of “Juristic religion studies”. Lawyers, administrative workers and priesthood from different churches of Southern Federal District came to participate in the seminar.

Juristic innovations and fundamental norms of missionary work, permitted use of plots of land for church services, organizing offsite church events, law regulating the procession of personal data were the topics discussed at the meeting. Inna Vladimirovna shared about basic legal hidden dangers, appearing during organizing and holding social church projects: feeding the homeless, providing help to the drug-addicts and their families.

The lawyer shared about the basic legal norms necessary for the churches to follow, and also gave some clear examples from court practice. Some time was devoted to answering the questions asked by the seminar’s participants.

“Please, do not be afraid of the long set of requirements given by law to those who organize different church events. They only seem frightening at first, but as you begin to follow them, you will find out it doesn’t take that much time. If you hold some events on regular basis, you will learn to process documents and do everything by a pattern” – Inna Zabrebina noted.
