Bishops Vassily Evchik and Sergey Gorbenko ministered in Barnaul

BARNAUL, Feb. 15-17 – For three days, February 15 to 17, Deputy Head Bishop of the Russian Church of Christians of Evangelical Faith Vassily Evchik and senior pastor of Omsk Harvest Church Sergei Gorbenko were guests of Barnaul churches.

On February 15, Bishop Evchik met with representatives of Barnaul city administration. The meeting helped to establish friendly relationships. Among others a matter of providing a lot of land for the New Life Church building was discussed. The representatives of the administration presented memorable gifts to the Bishop, and Vassily Ivanovich closed the meeting with a prayer.

On Saturday, February 16, a conference “For the work of the ministry” took place in Barnaul, and Vassily Evchik preached and prayed. The conference gathered ministers from churches of Altai and Omsk. Senior pastor of Omsk Harvest Church Sergei Gorbenko, who recently was ordained to one of the Federal Bishops’ position in Siberian region, ministered at the conference as well.

The pastors Vassily and Sergei encouraged the participants, shared revelations and edified them. The key verse of the conference was verse 12 from chapter 4 in Ephesians: “For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ”.

On Sunday, Bishops Evchik and Gorbenko ministered at Barnaul churches. Vassily Evchik ministered at the New Life Church. On his FB page he wrote: “I thank God, our Lord Jesus Christ and Bishop Sergei Potapov of the New Life Church for the opportunity to visit Barnaul. I express heartfelt gratitude for Siberian hospitality, eventful program, Christian love and friendship”.
