PERM – It took place last Saturday, November 14, and gathered sisters from different cities of the region. Women received the inspiration from God's Word and worshipped the Lord in unity. Thanks to the online broadcast, this conference was attended by over 2,000 people. Verse 12 of Psalm 90 was chosen as the theme of the conference: “Teach us to number our days that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom”.
“This year the conference carried a call to seek the wisdom of God. Every year at the conference we talk about the experiences of the present time, discuss what we are going through. This time we were all wearing masks and sitting at a distance from each other, we were not as many as we wanted. But I am glad that sisters have a thirst for communication and for the Word of God, regardless of the difficulties of our time,” — said Larissa Grabovenko, director of women's ministry of the Russian Church of Christians of Evangelical Faith.
This year, due to the new requirements, the conference was held in two formats: offline and online, so that even those who do not have the opportunity to come to Perm could participate. Women from Perm, Izhevsk, Berezniki, Zelenodolsk, Solikamsk and Krasnovishersk came to the conference.
At the opening of the conference, Valeria Tsvetkova, head of women's ministry in the North-West District, opened with the talk about stupidity and its consequences by bringing the examples from the Bible. She inspired sisters to seek God's wisdom and to walk straight paths to achieve goals and rejoice in life. “You will definitely reach the destination that you have planned, if you go with the wisdom of the Lord,” — encouraged the women Valeria.
The second meeting was remembered by the blessed word of Larissa Grabovenko about how important it is to ask the Lord for a wise heart and to go with such a heart to the end. “It is not the beginning that saves, it’s the end, because the Scripture says that the first will be last, and the last — the first.”
During the talk show “Wise Heart”, ministers Elena Huda, Ekaterina Novikova, Daria Neprozvanova and Anastasia Zaitseva answered questions of the conference participants. Relationships in marriage, raising children, the complexity of motherhood, children leaving the church, balance between daily duties and time with God — these and other questions were answered by coordinators of women's ministries.
At the final meeting Valeria Tsvetkova shared a word about the church and its importance for every Christian. “There is nothing more precious on this earth for Christ than the Church. Do you love the church as much as Christ loves it?” — asked Valeriya.
“My memory of the conference is that it was simple and joyful. I met many friends and talked to them. At the services I heard a very cool and necessary Word for me! Valeria Tsvetkova was a great blessing for our church. Everything was well organized from the beginning to the end. There was a free and delicious lunch, which I did not expect.
